About Me

Kgomotso Ramela

I’m a proud African Queen, born and raised in Pimville, Soweto. From the age of 12 I was always curious about how clothes are made. I would check out fashion magazines, fashion tv shows to see how people dress and learn about the different styles. Fun Fact: I once cut my mom’s curtains to make clothes for my doll. Everyone at home complimented me, pleased with the clothes I made. My mom later realized that the doll’s outfits looked familiar lol. I got into trouble that day but I promised never to do that again. My mom started giving me offcuts from her fabrics whenever she made curtains. Little did I know that this would give birth to my passion for fashion designing later in my life.

I got an opportunity to study fashion design to improve my craft and after a few internships and work opportunities in the fashion industry I started doing small projects for family and friends.

Today I’m the proud founder of Remedile Couture, fashion is my passion. I sleep, eat and breathe fashion. My beautiful continent of Africa inspires me. Breathe taking landscapes, the beautiful animals and the nature around them. The beautiful blue oceans that surround our land. From the radiant sunrise to the golden sunset, from the beautiful blooming flowers and lush plants. They all inspire our Beautiful African fabrics that we use to create stunning designs.
